The Büyük Hamam of Büyükkumla is a historic Ottoman hammam in Gemlik District, Bursa Province on the southern shore of the Gulf of Gemlik in northwestern Turkey. Gemlik, known in antiquity as Cius, is an ancient port city that served as a commercial gateway to the interior Bursa region, and its Ottoman hammams served the merchants, sailors, and residents of this important harbor town. The Great Bath of Büyükkumla reflects the scale of Ottoman investment in public hygiene infrastructure in communities along the sea of Marmara coastline.
