Thermarium Kur Bad Vöslau

Thermarium Kur Bad Vöslau is located in the foothills of the Wiener Wald south of Vienna, where chloride-rich mineral spring waters — historically called 'the waters of the Vöslauer' — have been exploited since Roman times and were developed into one of the most fashionable 19th-century Viennese aristocratic summer resorts, where Habsburg Archduchesses and Viennese haute bourgeoisie escaped the capital's summer heat for mineral bathing and wine drinking from the neighboring Vöslauer vineyard. The Vöslauer mineral water has been commercially bottled since 1937 and remains one of Austria's most recognized sparkling water brands, while the spa tradition continues in a Kurpark of 19th-century landscape garden design beside the Triesting River. The surrounding Piesting valley wine region and the nearby Burg Araburg medieval castle above the Kaumberg village create a Habsburg-era leisure landscape of vineyards, springs, and fortifications characteristic of the Viennese hinterland.
