Lázeňský Dům Beethoven is a historic spa hotel in Teplice, the oldest spa town in Bohemia and one of the oldest in Central Europe, where bicarbonate-sulfate thermal springs have attracted visitors since the 12th century and earned the city the name 'the bathing room of Europe' in the 18th century. Beethoven himself stayed in Teplice and composed music here, and the hotel bearing his name maintains the cultural legacy of a spa town that also hosted Goethe, Schiller, and dozens of European royals and intellectuals.
