Lázně Libverda Liberec

Lázně Libverda in the Jizerské Mountains of Liberec Region is a small but historically distinguished Czech spa village where bicarbonate-iron mineral springs — the so-called 'iron water' valued since the 17th century — have been appreciated within a long thermal tradition in a forest setting of beech and spruce on the Czech-Polish Sudeten border. The springs' high iron content gives the water a distinctively russet color and metallic taste characteristic of the chalybeate tradition that also produced the famous iron springs of Spa, Belgium, and Pyrmont, Germany.
