Terme de Cieplice

Cieplice Slaskie-Zdroj, now a district of Jelenia Gora in Lower Silesia, is Poland's oldest documented thermal spa resort, with hot spring bathing recorded here as far back as the thirteenth century and developed extensively under the aristocratic Schaffgotsch family during the Baroque era. The bicarbonate-rich springs emerge at temperatures of around forty-four degrees Celsius and are appreciated for relaxation and muscular comfort within the resort's elegant spa complexes. Set at the foot of the Karkonosze Mountains near the Czech border, Cieplice combines a rich seven-hundred-year spa heritage with proximity to the dramatic granite landscapes of Giant Mountains National Park.
