Bad Berneck

Bad Berneck is a Kneipp spa town in the Fichtelgebirge range of northern Bavaria, Germany, located in the valley of the Ölschnitz River in the forested uplands of Upper Franconia, certified as both a Kneippkurort and a recognized mineral spa since the late 19th century. The bicarbonate mineral waters of Bad Berneck, discovered in the 19th century and valued within a long thermal tradition, complement the Kneipp hydrotherapy tradition — the water-cure system developed by the Bavarian priest Sebastian Kneipp — that is the primary identity of the resort.
