Helsingør Havbad is a sea bathing facility in Helsingør — Shakespeare's Elsinore — in the Capital Region of Denmark, set on the narrow Øresund strait that separates Denmark from Sweden by barely four kilometres. The iodine-rich strait waters here are among the most mineral-rich in Denmark's coastal waters, benefiting from the constant movement of water between the North Sea and the Baltic. The havbad facility is dramatically sited with views across to the Swedish coast and the backdrop of Kronborg Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the setting for Hamlet. Cold-water bathing in this historically charged strait has become one of Helsingør's most distinctive wellness experiences.
