Ribersborgs Kallbadhus, affectionately known as 'Ribban' by Malmö residents, is a historic open sea bathing house extending 200 metres into the Öresund Strait, offering gender-separated cold seawater bathing and traditional Swedish sauna in a beautiful wooden pier structure dating from 1898. The facility is one of Malmö's great democratic institutions — continuously operating for over a century as a community meeting place — and offers on clear days views across the Öresund to Copenhagen and the dramatic bridge connecting Sweden and Denmark.
