Gréoux-les-Bains

Gréoux-les-Bains in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence is the most important thermal resort in Provence and one of France's largest, welcoming over 20,000 visitors annually who come to relax in its warm sulphurous-chloride mineral waters, in a long thermal tradition. The springs emerge at around 36°C in the foothills of the Luberon and Verdon natural parks, and the resort's location in the lavender country of Haute-Provence gives it one of the most aromatic and scenically beautiful settings of any French thermal town. The Verdon Gorge — the Grand Canyon of Europe — is just 25 kilometres away, and the lavender plateau of the Valensole just below the resort. The Knights Hospitaller castle overlooking the town and the medieval village centre add historical depth to a destination that combines a rich thermal heritage with the sensory pleasures of Provence.
