Aguas Termales La Hermida

Aguas Termales La Hermida is a thermal spring site in the village of La Hermida in the Peñarrubia municipality of Cantabria, Spain, set within the spectacular La Hermida Gorge — the Desfiladero de La Hermida — a dramatic limestone canyon carved by the Deva River through the Picos de Europa foothills, where the towering rock walls channel the thermal waters alongside one of northern Spain's most awe-inspiring natural passages. The geothermal springs emerge from fractures in the Paleozoic and Mesozoic limestone and dolomite formations of the Cantabrian Mountains, and the thermal waters have been used by the inhabitants of the gorge villages for generations.
