Radon Termal Kaplıca is located in Germencik, a district in Turkey's Aydın Province on the Aegean coast, within a geothermally active corridor where the Büyük Menderes (Maeander) River valley concentrates extraordinary underground heat. This region hosts some of Turkey's most potent natural hydrothermal fields, and Germencik is among the most geologically active spots in the Aegean zone.

The spring is classified as radioactive — specifically, radon-bearing waters emerging from the deep granite basement of the Aegean massif. With a neutral pH of 7.3, the water is balanced and non-corrosive, while the presence of dissolved radon gas gives this kaplıca a geochemical profile found in only a handful of sites worldwide. The tradition of bathing in radon-bearing springs is well established in parts of central Europe and Anatolia, where such waters have historically been part of thermal spa culture.
