The Spa Hamam, in Marmaris, Muğla province, offers thermal water heated to around 40°C in a Turkish hammam setting. A marble slab, kessa scrub, beldi soap and massages make up the ritual.
Insider tip — Marmaris is one of Turkey's most beloved Aegean resorts — a deep natural harbour ringed by pine forests and ancient castle walls where gulet sailing yachts depart for the turquoise bays and Greek islands visible across the water. The Marmaris Turkish Bath serves a city that has been a strategic maritime hub since Suleiman the Magnificent assembled his fleet here in 1522 for the conquest of Rhodes, the last Crusader stronghold of the eastern Mediterranean.
