Terme di Sorano GTS Toscana, in the extraordinary medieval village of Sorano in the Maremma of southern Tuscany, draws on sulfate thermal waters in one of Italy's most dramatically sited spa towns — a community of cave dwellings, tufa-carved grottos, and medieval towers perched on a volcanic rock promontory above the Lente river gorge, with subterranean Etruscan rock-cut paths (vie cave) tunnelling through the landscape below.
