Terme di Vetriolo Trentino

Terme di Vetriolo, at 1,500 metres above sea level on the Lagorai plateau above the Valsugana in Trentino, is one of Italy's highest-altitude thermal stations, drawing on ferruginous and chloride mineral springs of exceptional concentration that have been used since the 18th century within a long thermal tradition, in a bracing alpine setting that adds the appeal of high-altitude air to the mineral waters. The iron-rich waters, tinged orange-red by their ferrous mineral content, emerge from the crystalline geology of the Lagorai range — one of Trentino's most biodiverse and least-commercialised mountain environments, featuring ancient larch forests, glacier-carved lakes, and wildflower-rich alpine meadows accessible on foot from the thermal station. The dramatic contrast between the springs' mineral richness and the pure alpine landscape above creates an unusual wellness environment in the heart of the Italian Alps.
