On the outskirts of Viterbo, Tuscia Terme draws on one of three springs historically used by the Romans in the area — alongside Aquae Passeris and Bullicame — themselves already frequented earlier by the Etruscans. The new thermal park was inaugurated on 16 March 2024, the culmination of a project first presented in 2002 and carried for more than two decades before completion.
Five pools fed directly by the natural spring make up the facility today, set within the unspoiled countryside typical of the Tuscia region around Viterbo. The sulphurous waters, among the mineral-richest in Europe, give this recently reopened site a distinct identity that bridges ancient heritage and brand-new infrastructure.
