Rakhat Kuduk Hot Springs is an ancient natural spring site in the Chundzha area of southeastern Kazakhstan, where bicarbonate-rich waters have been considered therapeutically and culturally significant in the local Kazakh and Uighur communities since historical times, used in folk medicine for treating a wide range of ailments associated with the harsh steppe climate. The spring name combines Kazakh words evoking sweetness and well, reflecting the traditional reverence for clean water sources in nomadic culture where potable and mineral springs were highly prized landmarks in the landscape. Today the site has been developed into a bathing and wellness facility while retaining its character as a locally cherished natural mineral water destination in the fertile Ili valley foothills.
