Terme Kosovrasti Debar

Terme Kosovrasti is a thermal spring complex in the Kosovrasti gorge near Debar in western North Macedonia, where bicarbonated mineral water emerges from the limestone massif of the Bistra mountain at temperatures ideal for rheumatic and musculoskeletal therapy. The nearby Mavrovo National Park, the largest protected area in North Macedonia, harbours dense Balkan pine forests where the critically endangered Balkan lynx and the grey wolf still roam in one of the few remaining intact carnivore habitats in the western Balkans. The dramatic gorge setting, the wild national park, and the proximity of the Debar Lake with its turquoise water backed by limestone cliffs make Kosovrasti one of the most scenically striking thermal destinations in the Macedonian highlands.
