Balneario Escondido Zacatecas occupies the countryside near Fresnillo, a city at the heart of Mexico's historic silver belt where enormous deposits of silver ore drove the colonial economy and shaped the extraordinary baroque architecture of nearby Zacatecas City — a UNESCO World Heritage mining capital whose pink stone cathedral and labyrinthine mine tunnels tell the story of four centuries of mineral extraction that enriched Spain and fueled the development of the New World.
