Tucked 200 metres below Jagat village on the banks of the Marsyangdi River, this hot spring is reached via a long, well-maintained stairway. A celebrated stop on the famous Annapurna Circuit Trek, it gives hikers a well-earned break after hours of walking through the Himalayan foothills.

The site holds three pools with distinct atmospheres: the uppermost is notably hot, while the lower pools offer a gentler warmth, letting bathers soak fully amid mountain scenery. Trekkers can camp nearby for free or stay in village guesthouses, timing their soak for sunrise.

Insider tip — Jagat is a medieval-walled village at around 1300 meters on the Annapurna Circuit, and its hot spring sits beside the roaring Marsyangdi River amid steep jungle gorges. The sulfurous waters contrast sharply with the cold turquoise glacial river rushing just meters away. Many circuit trekkers time their leg specifically to end at Jagat for an evening soak under the stars. The stone-lined pool is maintained informally by the village, and a small donation to the local chai shop is appreciated.
