Khorkondo Valley Springs is a natural mineral spring site in the Khaplu area of Ghanche District, Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan, where chloride-rich springs emerge in the high-altitude desert landscape of the Kondus Valley — one of the most remote valleys in the Karakoram range, flanked by some of the world's highest peaks including K6, K7, and the Kondus Chhish, deep within the world's greatest concentration of high mountains. The springs are used by the small Balti farming communities of the Kondus Valley for therapeutic bathing in one of Pakistan's most dramatically isolated inhabited environments, accessible via a challenging mountain road from Khaplu town. The extraordinary geological landscape of Gilgit-Baltistan — where the Karakoram, Hindu Kush, and Himalayan ranges converge in the world's highest mountain system — gives even simple natural spring sites the grandeur of some of Earth's most spectacular terrain.
