Rwagimba Hot Springs is a natural geothermal site in Uganda where lightly mineral oligomineral water surfaces from the Precambrian basement in a rural tropical landscape, used by local communities for therapeutic bathing. The springs form part of Uganda's geothermal heritage associated with the East African Rift Valley system that extends from the Red Sea through Ethiopia, Kenya, and Tanzania to Uganda's western and northern regions. The lush Ugandan countryside, with its remarkable biodiversity, primate populations, and vibrant village culture, provides a rich and characteristically East African context for this natural thermal site.
