Israfil Agha Bathhouse is a traditional Azerbaijani bathing facility named after Israfil Agha — 'Israfil' being the Islamic name of the angel Israfel (the angel of music who will blow the trumpet at the Last Judgment in Islamic eschatology) and 'Agha' being the Ottoman-Azerbaijani title for a wealthy landowner, military officer, or local notable — whose charitable endowment of this bathhouse served the community's bathing needs in the Islamic tradition of philanthropic public facility provision.
