Banja e Peje Thermal

Peja, in the western part of Kosovo at the base of the Rugova Gorge and the Accursed Mountains (Albanian Alps), is the second-largest city in Kosovo and one of the most scenically dramatic urban settings in the western Balkans, the ancient Patriarchate of Pec Monastery — a UNESCO World Heritage Site housing extraordinary thirteenth-century Byzantine frescoes — rising against the forested limestone cliffs of the Rugova canyon.
