Popoli Terme is a thermal establishment in the medieval town of Popoli in Abruzzo's Pescara valley, where sulfate-calcium-magnesium springs emerge at the base of the Morrone massif within the Gran Sasso e Monti della Laga National Park. The mineral waters have been enjoyed since at least the 19th century within a long thermal tradition of drinking fountains and bathing associated with well-being, in a mountain setting of exceptional beauty. The extraordinary natural location at the confluence of the Aterno and Sagittario rivers, flanked by dramatic limestone gorges, makes Popoli one of the most scenically spectacular thermal localities in the Italian Apennines.
