Termas da Longroiva

Termas da Longroiva is a revived historic thermal spa in the village of Longroiva in the municipality of Meda, Guarda District, where sulphurous spring waters known since at least the 15th century have been developed into a contemporary wellness destination combining genuine mineral bathing with striking modern architectural design. The sulphurous waters emerge at around 47°C, among the warmest in northern Portugal, and have long drawn bathers seeking restful, restorative soaks in a medically supervised balneological setting. The thermal complex, designed with contemporary Portuguese architectural sensibility using local granite and glass, has won recognition for its integration of landscape, heritage, and wellness design. Longroiva sits in the Douro Superior wine region where Port wine quintas and almond blossom landscapes create one of the most beautiful seasonal settings for a thermal retreat in the entire Iberian Peninsula.
