Tokat Resat Thermal

Tokat Reşat Thermal is a therapeutic spa in Tokat Province in the Black Sea hinterland of northern Anatolia, Turkey, a historically significant city at the bend of the Yeşilırmak River where the Pontic Kingdom established one of its important cities, Alexander the Great and the Roman general Pompey passed through, and the medieval Danişmend dynasty later left the distinctive Gök Medrese theological college of 1271 whose magnificent Seljuk stone portal represents the finest surviving example of Anatolian Danişmend architectural achievement.
