Komagane Onsen is a mountain hot spring in Komagane city, situated at the foot of the Chuo Alps (Kiso Mountains) in southern Nagano Prefecture, the gateway city to the Senjojiki Cirque — a glacially carved alpine basin at 2,600 meters elevation accessible by ropeway and celebrated as one of Japan's most spectacular high-mountain landscapes.
